Wwii U. S. Army Paratrooper Artillery Khaki Wool Officer Overseas Cap

This is an extremely fine World War II U. Airborne Artillery officer's overseas cap that is in excellent condition. It is constructed of officer quality khaki wool and piped with officer's black and gold piping. Sewn to the right front is a parachute artillery/engineer badge that is machine embroidered in white cotton thread on a red twill background.

Pinned to the left front of the cap is a tarnished sterling silver 1st Lieutenant's rank insignia. The interior is lined with gold satin material and with a brown leather sweatband that is sewn firmly in place. 100% Wool' and the size'7?

The cap remains in excellent and undamaged condition.
