Wwii U. S. Army Airborne Pir Officer's Overseas Cap Full Colonel
This is an extremely fine Second World War U. Army Airborne Parachute Infantry Regiment Officer's overseas cap the is in excellent condition. The cap is constructed of high-quality satin-type material and piped with the officers black and gold piping. Sewn to the right front is a Parachute Infantry Regiment cap patch that has the parachute executed in machine embroidered white cotton thread on a light blue ribbed twill background with white border.
Pinned to the left front is a silver Colonel's'war eagle' rank insignia. The interior is unlined and has a supple, undamaged brown leather sweatband sewn firmly in place. A small black ovel tag on the sweatband gives the cap size as a'6? A finely tailored overseas cap as worn by an Airborne Infantry Regimental Commander.
